That is not simply a context-window problem. It is an ownership problem: the knowledge belongs to the conversation instead of to the team doing the work.
Angareion separates useful context from any one AI interface. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Joule, and other compatible tools can connect to the same Angareion workspace. Once connected, they can use explicit tools to capture and recall memory, search governed knowledge, load specialists, and save resumable handoffs.
What lives in Angareion
Angareion organizes several related kinds of context:
- Memory records durable lessons, facts, decisions, procedures, entities, and reflections.
- Knowledge sources preserve documents and web content that answers should be grounded in.
- Handoffs package unfinished working state so a later conversation can resume the work.
- Specialists combine behavior and approved context into reusable expertise that is not locked to one LLM provider.
These are connected, but they are not interchangeable. A memory should remain useful beyond the current task. A handoff can include blockers and next actions that matter specifically to resuming one piece of work.
A launch decision that survives the chat
Alice works through a launch plan in Claude and confirms three messaging pillars. She asks Claude to save that decision to Angareion. The next day Bob asks ChatGPT what the launch pillars are. ChatGPT searches the same Angareion memory and answers from the saved decision instead of reconstructing it from scratch.
How an AI tool connects
Most people connect through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The AI tool receives Angareion's hosted MCP address, opens an authorization flow, and gains access to the Angareion tools approved for that user and workspace.
No conversation history is automatically copied into Angareion just because a connection exists. The connected assistant calls a capture tool when something should be saved, and a recall tool when context is needed. That boundary keeps the system understandable and reviewable.
What Angareion is not
Angareion is not another chat interface, an orchestration framework, or a replacement for every database in an AI system. It is the context layer those interfaces and agents can share.
It also does not make every memory visible to everyone. Memories have scopes, sources, confidence, importance, and lifecycle controls. Teams can keep working knowledge private, share it deliberately, and retain traceability as information is revised.
